Homeopathy celebrities on the couch: Naomi Campbell, Black is Beautiful

SuperModel Noami Campbell
mreyes7778 Flickr.com

Naomi Campbell is a model, singer, journalist, writer and an activist.

She is of Caribbean and Chinese mix ethnicity although she considers herself black.

She is considered one of the most beautiful women in the world, and her exotic looks have won her modeling contracts with the biggest names of the fashion and cosmetic industry.

Hers is glamorous and charmed life, but it wasn’t always like that.

She comes from a modest background; she was raised by her grandmother in Streatham, South London.

Her dad left her mum while she was pregnant with Naomi and at her mother’s request she has never made contact with him.

Her mum left her when she was very young whilst pursuing a career in dance across Europe:  this is something time hasn’t healed. Recently Naomi broke down in tears at the Ophra Show when her mum acknowledged that she should not have left her.

Naomi attributes her past drug addiction and her mood swings to the fact that her mother abandoned her as a child.

She has been often shrouded in controversy: her behavior has even been considered outrageous, her political and activist stances incomprehensible.

There is however something about Campbell that it is a constant: her quick changes.  Changes in her mood from apparently calm and controlled into a raging and abusive, object throwing individual, kicking, punching, insulting, scratching and spitting.  She has done it all, and not only to those who depend on her like her secretary, but to two security guards at an airport…

Her moral convictions change quickly too: after posing naked for a high profile campaign against the fur trade, she was soon on the catwalk covered in…furs!

While at an event as an ambassador for Nelson Mandela’s AIDS charity, she became involved in one of the ugliest “blood diamonds” violations when she accepted rough diamonds from a known criminal, and later denied it.  The case ended up in court, causing embarrassment to charity, and some damage to Naomi’s personal image.

She is arrogant too; she told the South African court in no uncertain terms that it was a great inconvenience for her to be there.

But perhaps the most outrageous of comments was when she claimed that she didn’t get out of bed for less than 10,000.

Naomi Campbell homeopathic remedy is Belladonna:

The Belladonna plant also known as Deadly Nightshade, its poisonous and its toxins act upon the nervous system causing hallucinations.

Its berries are linked to tales of witches rituals and sexual excesses.  The plant has been well kwon since ancient times for causing sleepwalking, and night terrors, visions of the sufferer changing

Into all sorts of fantastic creatures half human half animal.

Some believe that the myth of werewolf comes from the abuse of this and other plants from the Solanacea family.

Despite the risk of intoxication, the juice of the plant was used as a cosmetic in medieval Italy, where women applied a few drops to their eyes, causing the pupils to dilate, and to make the eyes look shiner, this look was considered very beautiful hence the name of the plant – Belladonna means beautiful woman in Italian.

The patient who benefits from the use of homeopathic Belladonna is prone to high fevers, suffers from strong headaches due to sun exposure, photophobia, dislikes bright lights and shiny objects.

Their mood changes very quickly, their body temperature rises, their face becomes red with anger, their pupils dilate, their behavior becomes animalistic, some even report feeling like they have turn into a big cat like a jaguar or a panther. In their uncontrollable rage, they attack their opponents by any means they can:  spitting, scratching and punching; causing as much destruction as they can in very little time.

After these attacks they can go into a state of torpor, where they lack energy and they cannot justify their behavior.  A lot of these patients have a firm believe they are somewhat entity possessed and not responsible for their acts.  They also tend to believe they possess paranormal powers of some sort.

Naomi has been nicknamed “Black Panther” for her nasty temper, and she clearly displays many symptoms consistent with this remedy.

Naomi has many jewelry Wedjats and she wears them often.

Her house in the shape of a wedjat the Arab protective eye amulet said to protect wearers from psychic attack or “evil eye” is also symptomatic of a believe in the supernatural and the need for magic protection.

Homeopathy Celebrities on the couch: Demi Moore, sour milk

Demi Moore

Demi Moore, Culver City, California, 1991. Photograph by Annie Leibovitz.

LOZZY photos, flickr.com

This week the Undercover Homeopath analyses Demi Moore's psychological profile according to homeopathy principles, and prescribes a homeopathic remedy.

Husky voice, dark long locks, a melancholic expression, beautiful expressive eyes between green and hazel, and I mean literally: her left eye is green and the right hazel.

She was at one time voted one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world.

Demi has always played sexy roles, perhaps the most memorable were in “Indecent proposal”, “Ghost”, and “Striptease”.

She seems to have an exhibitionist personality both on and off the screen.

She has posed nude many times before her career took off, also after, even striping at a talk show. The most famous of her nude poses is the photo above when she was heavily pregnant.

At the moment she is painfully thin, and was recently admitted to A&E suffering from the effects of drug abuse, malnourishment and quite possibly a broken heart. According to her spokesperson she‘s suffering from “exhaustion”.

She’s reported to have several addictions:

Adderrall, an amphetamine available on prescription in US and Canada but illegal anywhere else, used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy.

Red Bull, an energy drink loaded with sugar (28 spoons per can) and caffeine, plus a few other strong stimulants in small quantities considered not sufficient to affect a healthy individual - Demi is not a healthy individual thought, she is malnourished and under a cocktail of drugs.

Her other known addictions include alcohol, cocaine and nitrous oxide better known as laughing gas: an anaesthetic.

Without going into too much detail on the possible side effects of Red Bull: there’s a lot more to worry about as far as Demi’s regular drug intake is concerned, let’s just look at the side effects of Adderrall and Nitrous Oxide.

Adderrall side effects include fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeats; feeling light-headed, fainting; increased blood pressure with severe headache, blurred vision, trouble concentrating, chest pain, numbness, seizure; tremor, restlessness, hallucinations, unusual behaviour, or muscle twitches, headache or dizziness; insomnia; dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth; diarrhoea, constipation; loss of appetite, weight loss; low libido.

Severe allergic reactions with rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; blurred vision or other vision problems; change in sexual ability or desire; chest pain; confusion; fainting; fast or irregular heartbeat; fever, chills, or sore throat; new or worsening mental or mood problems such as aggression, agitation, anxiety, delusions, depression, hallucination, hostility; numbness or tingling of an arm or leg; one-sided weakness; painful or frequent urination; red, swollen, peeling, or blistered skin; seizures; severe or persistent headache; severe stomach pain; severe weight loss; shortness of breath; sudden, severe dizziness or vomiting; slurred speech; uncontrolled muscle movement; unusual weakness or tiredness.

Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is an anaesthetic that is increasingly being used as a recreational drug; also known as Whip-its, it can cause anaemia in prolonged use. It also causes acidosis which is a disturbance in the acid-base balance in the lowering the blood serum PH, and leading to accumulation of lactic acid in the tissues, among other things.

At the emotional level, Moore expresses her feelings beautifully revealing a candid picture of herself:

She’s emotionally immature, part of her psyche has remained undeveloped, frozen in childhood.

She’s gone through life just like a child, feeling lonely when she is not in a relationship, trying to fit in when she is, afraid of being rejected, yet demanding and needy, wanting to be the centre of attention at all cost. Insecure about her looks, in her mind the only reason for her dejection is her physical body not being perfect, betraying her.

As a child she learnt what was like to be different, to have a deformity.

It can blight a child’s life to feel rejected for the way she looks, and having to wear an eye patch to correct a lazy eye must have been traumatic for Demi.

As a teenager she learnt to use her looks to manipulate those around her and to get what she wanted – undoubtedly pretty she started her career as a Pin-Up. And what she wanted was drugs – she spent most her first wages in drugs and partying showing a complete escapist attitude.

Some of her quotes:

She shows concern with being rejected or criticised: “I'm sure there are a lot of people who think I'm a bitch.”

Needy: fear of being abandoned, fear of feeling unloved. Needs to be in relationship in order to feel loved: "What scares me is that I'm going to ultimately find out at the end of my life that I'm really not lovable, that I'm not worthy of being loved. That there's something fundamentally wrong with me...and that I wasn't wanted here in the first place."

She’s is trying to come to terms with it, by repeating the advice she's been given, but for now those are just hollow words that she repeats without really grasping their full meaning: "I used to think that what scared me was the idea of being abandoned until someone said to me, 'Only children can be abandoned. Adults can’t be abandoned because we have a choice. Children don’t have a choice,”

Fear of failure, fear that her body will let her down: "When I'm at the greatest odds with my body, it's usually because I feel my body's betraying me, whether that's been in the past, struggling with my weight and feeling that I couldn't eat what I wanted to eat, or that I couldn't get my body to do what I wanted it to do.”

Now she gets the reverse of the coin – her body has become too thin but she’s still doesn’t understand that it’s not all about her body: "I think I sit today in a place of greater acceptance of my body, and that includes not just my weight but all of the things that come with your changing body as you age to now experiencing my body as extremely thin - thin in a way that I never imagined somebody would be saying to me, "You're too thin, and you don't look good."

Self-doubt, and lack of confidence. Self-centred perspective of the world: thinking that everyone wants the same thing: “I think we all want the same things. We all want to feel loved, and feel a part of something, but we all have self-doubt no matter where we came from.”

Greedy: her nickname in Hollywood circles used to be "Gimme more" such were her demands for extra fringe benefits and perks.

Fear of losing it all: “Unwillingness to risk failure is always there, but it gets harder when you feel you have more to lose. So the better place to keep yourself in is out of your comfort zone, willing to try even at the risk of failing. And that's not natural to me at all. In fact, it's completely unnatural.

And perhaps the most revealing: her lack of trust in others and in the universe, the need to control in order to feel safe: “What scares me the most is not knowing and accepting that just about everything is not in my control,” she said. “That makes me feel unsafe.”

Demi's homeopathic prescription:

Demi Moore needs a Milk remedy for the lack of nurturing she’s suffered in her childhood and which left her with a poor image of her body, eating disorders, lack of self-love and a permanent fear of being abandoned. But she also needs an Acid remedy to address her exhaustion.

Milk remedies in general:

Address emotional imbalances, depression, feelings of abandonment, eating disorders, and sexual dysfunctions that originated during the 1st seven years of a child.

When the emotional body is deprived of a normal development and unable to move on from the physical needs expressed during the first seven year period From this situation many psychological issues arise of abusing or being abused by others, at a physical level, there is a common tendency for lactose intolerance, skin diseases such as eczema which denote a lack of proper boundaries and an avoidance to being touched or held, general assimilation and digestive problems, poor self-image perception often with the idea that the person is impure, unattractive, inferior to their peers, etc., giving rise to issues about being bullied, and generally abused by others.

Acid remedies in general:

There are several homeopathic acid remedies they all treat exhaustion at one level or another, some are more suitable for addressing physical exhaustion others mental exhaustion and so on. I’ve already given you the picture of one of them, Phosphoric Acid when I presented the psychological profile of Lady Gaga.

Lactic Acid has exhaustion like all the acids but with the peculiar symptom of being restless.  It combines both the qualities of the Lac remedies and those of the acids. It also covers most of the side effects that can result from the abuse of both Adderrall and laughing gas!

Lactic acid is present in foods, primarily in sour milk products, such as koumiss, laban, yogurt, kefir, and some cottage cheeses. The casein in fermented milk is coagulated, curdled, by lactic acid.

Lactic acid has been blamed for the muscular pain we feel after exercising, although this long standing theory is now being disproved, and research has now concluded that the presence of lactic acid after exercising is actually part of the cell metabolism necessary for muscle development and its recovery.

Lactic acid is also essential for the brain metabolism, particularly but not only during pregnancy for foetal development: it's the “brain’s food” – it's used by our neurons when glucose is converted into Lactate.

In the homeopathic proving Lactic Acid is an important remedy for the treatment of diabetes, rheumatism and digestive symptoms such as alternating constipation and diarrhoea, as well as nausea: being one of the most effective remedies for morning sickness during pregnancy.

Lactic acid is now being proved vital for the development of the nervous system of a baby during pregnancy. As a homeopathic remedy it can correct the hormonal imbalance that causes morning sickness, with or without vomiting, and excessive salivation -

Pregnancy is a big issue for Demi:

Her father abandoned her teenage mum before she was born.

Demi herself is a fertility goddess of our time. She has become the embodiment of the sacred feminine at its most beautiful and powerful – the pregnant form, a symbol of nurturing and unconditional love when she had that famous photo taken, while seven months pregnant.

Incidentally Demi is short for Demeter her real name, and the namesake of the Greek Goddess of Fertility!

Patients who require this remedy may also suffer from dryness and rawness of mouth and throat, causing hoarseness – or in the case of Demi, a permanent husky voice.

It is also the indicated remedy when there is profuse sweating especially of the feet, excessive urination, great thirst, lack of appetite occasionally alternating with voracious appetite, burning and weight in the stomach, nausea first thing in the morning, vertigo. – These are all symptoms that can be present in diabetes, but they are also consistent with dehydration. And dehydration is one of the side effects of caffeine, in Demi’s case through the excessive intake of Red Bull.

All Lactic Acid symptoms are better for staying still yet the patient is restless - Demi takes Adderall a prescription drug to control ADHD.

Lactic Acid is the combination of both – a milk and an acid, and it could be the one to help Demi Moore to reach her full potential!

It’s a great remedy, well proved in its physical application but almost unknown for its mental picture. To paraphrase my friend Francis Treuherz an amazing homeopath and a most inspiring teacher: In every small remedy there is a pollycrest wanting to come out!

In my opinion Lacticum Acidum deserves further proving into its mental and emotional reach.

Particularly pertinent at this stage when science is just starting to understand the role of Lactate in the development and maintenance of our nervous system, and we are seeing a great incidence of neurological diseases both of formative and degenerative nature: the increase of ADHD and autistic spectrum disorders in children, as well as dementia, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s in the elderly.

The original proving also seems promising in treating the characteristic symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: CFS.

Homeopathy Celebrities on the couch: Antony Worrall Thompson cut off from reality

Antony Worrall Thompson
Antony Worrall Thompson

By britainsbiggestcurryparty Flickr.com

This week the Undercover Homeopath analyses Antony Worrall Thompson's psychological profile according to homeopathy principles, and prescribes a homeopathic remedy.

Antony Worrall Thompson has been caught shoplifting from his local supermarket.

He had a technique: he used self-checkout, scanning some items and failing to scan others such as cheese and wine. Thompson has now been charged with five theft offenses all committed during a period of two weeks.

Those two weeks coincided with the run up to Christmas and New Year – stressful times for most of us and more so to a professional chef, with a lot of expectations put on the cooking and presentation of food, party hosting and so on.

Antony is not just a professional chef, he is a celebrity chef made famous by his appearances in the TV program Ready, Steady, Cook.

He has an image to preserve…yet several times throughout his life he’s let the mask slip. He comes from a middle class family, and thanks to his grandmother he had a privileged upbringing, but his upbringing was also very traumatic and damaging.

His parents who were both actors separated when he was only three years old. He was then sent to boarding school, sexually abused by people to whom he was entrusted and who should’ve been his role models.

He was neglected by his mother, starved of her affection and yet desperate to please her; held at arm’s length by a grandmother who tried to provide him with a solid education consistent with their social status but depriving him, at the same time, of the love and affection that every child needs.

He was left disfigured both in emotional and physical pain throughout his teenage years, due to a sports injury, waiting facial reconstruction which was only possible at twenty one years old, once his bones stopped growing.

He seems to have gone through his life with a cavalier attitude towards himself and those close to him.

His life has been a bit of rollercoaster. He’s had multiple affairs, and a few failed marriages. In business has also met success and failure.

But he is proud of his life and his achievements, he is a survivor – he’s has overcome more than most of us – When he published his autobiography Raw revealing all the abuse he went through but saying that he survived it un- scattered… well, up until now…

This week when the news of his arrest were made public, he finally admitted that perhaps the abuse and neglect he suffered as a young child, together with the pressure of trying to keep his career a float a midst professional and personal strain, might have played a part in his acts. He has publicly apologised and promised to seek help.

I think this is the first step to emotional healing – the acknowledgment that all is not well, the admission that after all, his past has been traumatic and has left psychological scarring – now is the time to start healing!

Thompson’s homeopathic profile is Anacardium:

Anacardium is psychologically split. They feel continuously divided between what they represent and who they really are. They may have a public image to preserve; social values become less and less important to them as the psychological damage sets in. This damage tends to occur in their early years, but remains repressed until the individual can longer cope with the contrast between social / moral values and what they’ve experienced during their formative years.

In order to survive the abuse they’ve been subjected to, they had cut themselves from their own feelings.

They tend to compensate by overeating, and they tend to become overweight: they crave sweets and alcohol. Some report “not being themselves” while eating or shopping!

They are prone to terrible mood swings which can make them extremely violent, and yet they are also pacifists as they fear conflicts and other people’s rage – they will repress their own anger for as long as possible in order to avoid direct confrontation, afraid of their own reactions, until it all becomes too much…

Some patients who are within the Anacardium psychological profile have described themselves as having a good side and a bad side.

An angel sits on one shoulder, a demon on the other whispering at them - is how some have describe it.

Antony has mentioned the “demon on his shoulder” telling him to do what he did…

Homeopathy Celebrities on the couch, Chelsea Manning torn apart

PFC Bradley Manning [Sixth Grade Yearbook]
PFC Bradley Manning [Sixth Grade Yearbook]

By cooperphotog, Flickr.com

This week the Undercover Homeopath analyses Bradley Manning's psychological profile according to homeopathy principles, and prescribes a homeopathic remedy.

Army intelligence analyst Private First Class Bradley E. Manning accused of releasing classified information to WikiLeaks.

He has been detained in solitary confinement since July 2010 and he waiting trial.

Before Manning joined the army he was an idealist who held the role of his country in the fight for freedom into great account.

After joining the army as an intelligence analyst, however, the cracks started to appear: his view of the military as a defender of the good against the evil changed.

He was quoted saying to Lamo, on a chat room: “I don’t believe in good guys versus bad guys anymore,” “Only a plethora of states acting in self-interest.”

On another occasion he asked Lamo: “If you had free reign over classified networks for long periods of time… say, 8-9 months… and you saw incredible things, awful things… things that belonged in the public domain, and not on some server stored in a dark room in Washington DC… what would you do?”

To Assange he is quoted with saying that publishing a file of hundreds of thousands of classified reports on Iraq and Afghanistan would prove ‘one of the more significant documents of our time, removing the fog of war and revealing the true nature of 21st-century asymmetrical warfare.’ ”

He was also going through severe hardship and emotional turmoil in his private life, which were made worse when his long term relationship broke up.

According to court evidence, he asked for help from his superiors by writing a letter describing his gender identity crisis and attaching a photo of him dressed as woman – Brenna Manning, his new identity.

He even held a Facebook account and email address as Brenna. His pleas for help were ignored and so were psychotic episodes he suffered.

During his psychotic crisis he alternated between physical violence towards a female superior, and a desire to isolate himself from his reality – when he was found on the floor curled up into a ball.

His background:

He grew up in a small American town, Crescent, Oklahoma.

As a child he was small, and wore glasses. Considered by both his teachers and his peers as a bright intelligent child, who always had an opinion about issues discussed in class, he was a shy, but pleasant young man.

He played music, first trombone and later electronic synthesizer. He also enjoyed philosophic discussions about ethics and what was right or wrong with his small group of friends, although as he became an adolescent he became more and more isolated, spending most of his time in his room at the computor.

Life was difficult at home, when his parents’ marriage ended him and his mum had to move from to Wales, his mum's country. Before he went he had a confession to make: he told his two best friends that he was gay.

Being gay brought him into direct conflict with his dad who threw him out of in the streets making homeless. Yet being true to his values, Manning openly campaigned for Gay’s rights, even after enrolling in the army where the policy at the time was “don’t ask, don’t tell”.

Manning’s homeopathic profile is Silica:

Silica individuals are normally of small frame, they often have eye sight problems. They have a strong intellect, great aptitude for scientific and technological disciplines. They try to define their identity by fitting in the best they can within their group, without causing too much controversy since they are shy and dislike open confrontation or antagonism. They are however compelled to stick to their own ideals and convictions, and are considered by some to be of fixed ideas, and impossible to be persuaded otherwise once they have made their mind up.

The silica individual often feels divided: divided between loyalties when their duty goes against their ideals. Even at a physical level they present with many symptoms that imply this separation. What can be a healthy, inquisitive, and bright creative mind of the silica patient can also be easily affected by a difficult childhood – they need a strong and supportive family environment if they are to develop harmoniously.

In Manning’s case, his family breakdown may have seriously hampered his emotional development. When later on his life he sought that order and strong structure in the army, his need for support was once again eroded, this time by the conflict in between what he thought his mission should be and what it had become.

Going through both a crisis between his moral values as a US serviceman as well as in his private life through gender confusion, his psyche became fragmented and damaged and he suffered psychotic episodes with aggressive behavior towards his superiors when his new identity as a woman was not acknowledged or honored.

The patient who needs Silica as a homeopathic remedy often feels imbalance between their brain and their body, their duty and their ideals, a career in science or in art, a contradiction in between their life choices and that their loved ones would like them to choose.

Isolation and a feeling of being cut off from a part of themselves are the feelings that ensue. Which is exactly where Manning finds himself at the moment!

Homeopathy Celebrities on the couch: Santa, Father Christmas, Saint Nick, Santa Claus, St Nicholas, Noel...Yes that's Him!

Santa!
Santa by mycuteladybug
Flickr.com

This week the Undercover Homeopath analyses Santa's psychological profile according to homeopathy principles, and prescribes a homeopathic remedy.

Santa with his uncertain gait, carrying a heavy bag of presents, moving with a jingle in his step…full of cheer for all: children and adults!Laughing a hearty Ho Ho Ho, or Ha Ha Ha (apparently Santa has been banned from using the former by the PC police)…nevertheless bringing magic into everyone's home for one night, every year.

But Santa can have a few health issues too!
The North Pole where he lives is mighty cold and wet – covered in snow most of the time.

On Christmas Eve, he sets out on his flying sleigh pulled by reindeer all across the world, delivering gifts to all single handed: all in one night!

He travels through a portal between different realities: the world of magic and make believe ruled by elementals and fairies, and the third dimensional reality where we all wait for him to spread some Christmas magic.

Climbing down chimneys, trying to be nimble and quick so that no child surprises him while he carefully lays down their presents under the tree…overfed by all those biscuits, milk and erhm…

Stiff drinks left out for him as a reward… and as if it wasn't enough, he's also supposed to keep the ladies happy...

A lot of them put on their best lingerie or their sexiest nighty just in case Santa happens to take a wrong turn between the Christmas tree and the chimney and ends up in their bedroom…luckily he’s a happily married chap and Mrs Claus seems to be oblivious to all of this…still it can take its toil, especially on a chap…well…quite mature…

Fortunately we can assist Santa with homeopathy, and help him to be at his best this year!
Santa’s remedy is Agaricus Muscarius. It is also known as Fly Agaric the pretty mushroom with the red cap and the little white dots… very poisonous!

The two main toxins ibotenic acid and muscimol have been used as entheogens in Northern Europe from ancient times, linking this mushroom to Shamanic practices, facilitating the contact between different realities, and access to magical beings such as the elementals. There are many depictions of Elves and fairies sitting under these mushrooms in fairy tales and Walt Disney movies.

When intoxicated with agaric, reindeer jump around as if trying to fly, and in some Northern European cultures there has been a tradition of killing these animals and eating them in order to access some of the hallucinogenic properties of the mushroom without the poisonous effect.

As a homeopathic remedy, it is useful for treating spatial and time awareness disturbances:

This remedy is full of strange, rare and peculiar symptoms: these are symptoms to which we homeopaths give particular importance, as they can be almost unique to a patient and help to differentiate between remedies with similar characteristics. One of the symptoms is involuntary laughter when there is pressure on dorsal vertebras causing pain.

The patient perceives time as either much lengthier than it really is or much shorter. Objects seem larger than they really are. There can be severe back ache with nervous twitching on the spine as well as sciatica. All the symptoms are worsened by consuming alcohol, which the patient often craves, also from exposure to cold and wet weather. There is a characteristic pain that feels like icy needles. This remedy is also helpful in erectile dysfunction in older patients. It’s the main remedy for frostbite.

Overall, the patient who needs this remedy displays a bizarre behaviour normally with a cheerful mood as if they were slightly intoxicated - even when they haven't been drinking...

Homeopathy Celebrities on the couch: Adele, we could have had it all...

ADELE_oooos
Adele By ShulmanSays
Flickr.com

This week the Undercover Homeopath analyses Adele's psychological profile according to homeopathy principles, and prescribes a homeopathic remedy.

Adele, the soul singer and song writer: her success can only be compared to that of the Beatles; she is the first living artist since them to have two top five hits in both the UK Official Singles Chart and the Official Albums Chart simultaneously.

Most of her songs have been dedicated to her ex-boyfriend, or to the relationship they once had.

She has said on an interview” It's hard singing all these songs because it makes me remember how brilliant we were when we were good... and how tragic it was when we were bad.”

We have heard of her heartache of the past relationship in many of her songs, perhaps the most poignant is “Someone like you”.

She sings with tears in her voice

we can sense how heartfelt it was for her to lose that love, and how she still feels that loss: even her body language with a pained expression on her face and the hand pressing on her chest tell a tale of regret and sadness.

Earlier this year, we’ve heard of her successive voice problems, culminating with the cancellation of a series of concerts and having surgery treat a hemorrhaged vocal cord.

We know of her smoking habit and her taste for beer and red wine. We’ve learnt that the singer likes sweets, such as chocolate bars, honey and muesli energy bars. She also likes fruit, bananas, apples and grapes but avoids acidic foods, such as citrus fruits, tomatoes, and vinegar.

We also know that she supports “Sands” a stillbirth and neonatal death charity, and she insists that her fans make a compulsory donation to the charity in order to gain access to her.

Adele’s homeopathic remedy at this moment in time is Antimonium Crudum

At a physical level this remedy addresses complaints of the digestive system as well as skin. Bloating of this remedy is aggravated by acidic foods and drinks such as vinegar, tomatoes and sour wine, although paradoxically some patients do crave these. They have strong beer cravings.

They can have eating disorders, with periods of overeating that can in extremes lead to bulimia, and periods where they have no appetite which in extreme situations can lead to anorexia. The main differentiation between this and other remedies for eating disorders is that these are triggered by unrequited love: either because their relationship broke down, or because there was never a relationship.

Antimonium Crudum treats obesity in young people, laryngitis with loss of voice and skin complaints with indurations.

We can see some of the physical indications of this remedy in Adele, but the real indication for the remedy, is found in the psychological sphere.

Antimonium Crudum is the remedy for people who cannot move on after falling in love with someone. Even when the relationship is decidedly over and there are no prospects of rekindle, they are unable to move on to the next relationship.

They are deeply marked by that love experience, real or imaginary – often the way they perceive the relationship has little bearing to what it really was, in some cases there was not even a relationship – they might have fallen in love with someone who didn’t love them. They cannot find anyone else who compares favorably to that special person… they go on through life bleeding emotionally, deeply wounded but reveling in their emotional suffering in a masochistic way – believing the only cure is for their love to be reciprocated.

They are in love with the being in love experience...
Their body language expresses their immense sadness to their love loss, they sigh often, they hold their chest as if the emotional pain transcended into the physical…they are incurable romantics, but in their heart they’ve already made their choice…even those who seem to move on and settle on a relationship with someone else, often secretly dream of what it might have been if only they were able to have a second chance with the only one they ever loved!

Homeopathy Celebrities on the couch: George Clooney, the power of a king!

This week the Undercover Homeopath analyses George Clooney's psychological profile according to homoeopathy principles and prescribes a homoeopathic remedy.

George Clooney needs no introduction!

Or does he? We are so used to seeing successful actors in the media that their faces, emotions and expressions become more familiar to us than our own.

We forget that what we are looking at is a character they’ve lend themselves to in order to tell us a story.

Unlike musicians who put themselves forward for all to see, and often even add on to this by writing their own lyrics, so that we get to know them really well, or artists who convey their thinking and feeling processes through their medium; actors create an illusion of total and unconditional surrender to their audience by lending their bodies, their emotions, their personal experiences to their character but without really compromising their privacy nor revealing who they are. The more an actor is typecast the more our illusion of knowing them really well is perpetuated.

George Clooney has a particularly multifaceted character. He is a scriptwriter, movie director, producer and actor.

He plays basketball regularly. Although he doesn’t appear particularly reclusive nor secretive he has made it clear that his private life is his own and not to be shared by the media.

We have known of his slightly troubled romantic life with a failed marriage and a succession of girlfriends.

We know of his past jobs before he went into acting: several low profile sale jobs and even work in a tobacco plantation cutting leaves.

We also know of some of his serious illnesses: while still at school he suffered from Bell’s palsy which caused him to be bullied by the other kids. He had a serious back and brain injury while filming Syriana - he was driven to contemplate suicide while in hospital, by the severe pain and the extent of the injury he suffered, at one point he was losing CFS fluid through his nose. He still suffers from occasional migraines as a result of the accident.

Perhaps most touching, we've known of his pets, the most famous of all: Max the enormous potbelly pig with whom he had a special bond, crediting the pet with saving his life when the pig woke him up just before an Earthquake.

He was twice nominated the “Sexiest Man Alive” by the People magazine

He has received two Golden Globe awards and an Academy Award, and many other nominations and awards for acting, but perhaps the most prestigious awards have been those pertaining to his political stance in defence of those who don‘t have a voice - He was presented with the Summit Peace Award, and he’s also been nominated a UN messenger of peace.

He has used his success and connections in the movie industry for social activism

He's been instrumental in raising awareness to the Darfur conflict, which has seen thousands and thousands of people being prosecuted and killed in one of the longer lasting conflicts in history.

George has also spoken against the Iraq war, alerting political leaders to the fact that we cannot fight a war with war, and that every war we fight we are creating a new generation of people seeking revenge.

George’s homoeopathic profile is Bismuth

This mineral is part of the gold series of the periodic table: the entire series carries an aura of power and kingship to some extent. Aurum being the recognised supreme king. Bismuth, which is stage 15 typifies the aftermath. One has been king, but has lost his kingdom, there is a choice of either trying to cling on to power in a vain attempt to resist the unavoidable or surrender gracefully.

Bismuth is also one of the remedies where suicide is most prevalent. All the gold series has a theme of depression relating to power- desire to attain it, abuse of power, or loss of power depending which stage in the periodic table they appear. All of these can be motivations for suicide.

In Bismuth, there is the realisation that power without strong social and moral values is hollow.

In Bismuth there is a strong dichotomy between idealism and cynicism: the person knows that if power is used to oppress others will not last, and true strength comes from empowering others and giving them a voice. They can sometimes feel powerless towards social injustice and even resort to suicide as a last resort to keep some control over their existence and the way they chose to live or die.

There is also humour expressed as irony in Bismuth, with subjects seeing themselves with enough detachment to be able to laugh.

Clooney has displayed this quirky side in many occasions both by making ironic comments about his political opponents, and also when lampooned in several programmes including South Park series - even saying he would have been offended if the program didn't make fun of him!

At a physical level, Bismuth is one of the remedies for facial paralysis and Bell’s palsy.

With Bismuth everything happens suddenly, life and death have a blurred boundary: Clooney has had a few near miss death experiences and sudden accidents

The one most publicised was the motorcycle accident in 2007. His stay in hospital attracted enormous publicity when dozens of hospital staff abused their position of trust by looking at his medical records.

Bismuth people are private, they don’t like to have their personal details exposed, and yet in a genuine display of sympathy to the hospital personnel, Clooney requested that no one should be punished over the incident: that is the whole mark of a true king - the power to be magnanimous!

Homeopathy Celebrities on the couch: Lady Gaga, disappointed love

Lady Gaga is a singer with millions of adoring fans whom she calls “her little monsters”.

She seems to be on a category of her own, both her musical style and her fashion sense are quite unique.

During her still short but meteoric career we have been treated to a kaleidoscope of ever changing successions of Gagas

We could be forgiven for thinking that we are in the face of several different women impersonating this eccentric character rather than just one re-inventing herself at a fulminating rate.

There have been rumours of mental illness, rumours of an auto-immune disease, namely Lupus.

Lady Gaga herself has done little to dispel any of these rumours: she’s not confirmed them nor dismissed them, she much rather ignore any critical voices and concentrate or her artistic career and her fan base.

To her fans, and her friends she has plenty of time. She replies personally to some; there was recently a poignant message of support to a fan being bullied… yes Lady Gaga knows what that feels like. She has been there herself, but overcome this to rise to success!

On a song that made her famous, “Bad Romance” she talks about unconditional love.

She expresses very intense feelings, and not wanting to be just friends but wanting a relationship with all that involves: the good, the bad, and the uggly!

She is definitely intense… on an a recent interview she opened up about the string of unfulfilled romantic relationships she has had – she hasn’t been accepted for who she is, some lovers have been envious of her creativity and her success… love has been disappointing!

Her homeopathic profile is Phosphoric Acid.

This remedy combines a certain freshness and creativity of the group of Acid remedies with the characteristics of Phosphorus.

Phosphorus is about all or nothing as far as love is concerned. It is about communication with fellow humans at all levels.

A typical phosphoric personality has many social connections. Easy to relate to others, they have close friends, and acquaintances with whose they also enjoy keeping in touch.

They have many virtual friends on Facebook, Twitter, and any other social network they decide to join… in fact social networking sites owe their success to Phosphoric people who require constant communication with a wide circle of friends and acquaintances and the marketing people, who take advantage of this lively interactive group of people, in order to promote their products.

Phosphorus people are also the Goths, and the vampire movie lovers.

Physically they tend to be very pale, to have a weak spleen, and a tendency to bleed easily.

Psychologically they have great empathy, and they can easily feel the emotional suffering of others and take it as their own. They are idealists, and they can easily get confused in between a friendship and love relationship.

They assume that the other person is on the same wave length and that there is no need to talk – communication happens at an emotional level rather than at the intellectual level. They can then be greatly disappointed once they realise that their partner doesn’t share their views and ideals, leaving them feeling misunderstood and betrayed at a very deep and emotional level.

On the other hand If they feel they have much in common with the other person and there is an easy communication going on between them, they are very willing to take the relationship into the sexual level. For this reason it is easy for them to be bi-sexual, as often there is a closer bond and empathy between people of the same sex.

The Phosphoric Acid state is the result with the Phosphorus patient being brought to this state of emotional exhaustion by disappointed love.

People in this remedy profile become exhausted from giving themselves to others and they are no longer able to communicate. As they get more tired they shut down physically and emotionally.

If Phosphorus is the “party” state, Phosphoric Acid is the “after-party”, it is the match that has fizzled out, the sparkling drink that has lost its bubbles.

But just like other the remedies in the acid group, it does it with style… it has a dry sense humour, it has enough creativity to fascinate others, it has a different take and a new perspective on life, that others cannot easily grasp…

Phosphoric Acid like Phosphorus still has a lot to give, but needs to communicate from a safe distance, without too much pressure and demand from too close a circle of either family relations or friends…  sometimes it is easier to be friendly in the digital world!

Homeopathy Celebrities on the Couch: Rihanna, it's a lonely place down there...

Rihanna

This week the Undercover Homeopath analyses Rhianna's psychological profile according to homeopathy principles, and prescribes a homeopathic remedy.

That awkward moment when chat show host Ellen DeGeneres realises she is interviewing one of RiRi's body parts...

Rihanna has been voted the sexiest woman alive

She is also one of the most successful singers, and since her career took off at the age of sixteen she’s been constantly in public view.

She had a traumatic upbringing, her parents separated when she was young. Her dad has a long history of addiction to both alcohol and cocaine. As a child she was a bit of tomboy, prefer to play amongst the boys then to be with girls. She suffered from debilitating headaches as a child.

She admits that her ideal man has to be aggressive, mysterious and very self-assured…

She’s been abused by the men in her life, and suffered a very public attack by former partner Chris Brown who left her excoriated, bruised and battered for all of us to see, after one of the couple rows went out of control.

On Twitter she is constantly talking about sex, and retweeting her fans lewd comments about her.

In her song Disturbia which was curiously written by Chris Brown for himself but later decided that the song didn’t suit him as it had a very feminine vibe and was more suited to Rihanna.  It speaks of mental confusion and identity crisis  of someone beeing intruded and invaded by someone or something stronger than them. The song is very suggestive of rape and of the mental confusion rape victims can go through afterwards.

There are also other interesting songs that replay this theme, not necessarily of actual rape, but of abusive sexual relationships.

Her album “Good girl gone bad” also plays up to the theme of someone who was innocent but has been corrupted.

In homeopathy the best known remedy for rape victims, and females who have been victims of sexual abuse is Staphysagria. It is also a main remedy for cystitis after intercourse: what it is sometimes called “Honeymoon cystitis”. It is also a remedy for head and eye injuries with severe headaches.

A patient needing Staphysagria, is excessively sexual, even lewd, and given to masturbate frequently. They become sex obsessed after the abuse they have sustained.

There is a guilty complex about the abuse itself, with the patient suffering from indignation about the way they have been treated by their abuser. However this anger is turn towards them for having allowed the attack to happen.

Their psychological coping mechanism is to become sexually corrupt, playing the initial traumatic sexual event, and re-inventing it by creating situations, or getting involved in relationships, that have the potential for further physical and sexual abuse.

In a way they feel this as a way of gaining control over of themselves: if they are the ones creating the opportunity for their own abuse to take place, at least they have some control over the situation.

Homeopathy Celebrities on the couch - Michael Jackson starved of love

Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson by justjnia, Flckr
This week the Undercover Homeopath analyses Michael Jackson's psychological profile according to homeopathy principles, and prescribes a homeopathic remedy.

Michael Jackson – starved of love
Michael Jackson the king of Pop was indisputably a creative genius.
As a baby he was already unusually co-ordinate in his movements and good at dancing. He became a performing artist at a very young age, and together with his eight brothers and sisters they were known as the Jacksons.  But he felt abused and taken advantage of by his father – forced to rehearse and to do public performances, he felt continuously under pressure to be the best since childhood.
As the emotional suffering took over his mind transforming the shy teenager we once knew into an asexual and eccentric figure who refused to grow up, we watched little by little a metamorphose taking place: reshaping his image turning his physical body in what he thought more appealing to his public while his intellect was slowly being taken over by mental illness, and completely devouring him from the inside.
In his last days he wanted to make amends for his life:
A fresh start with a series of concerts in London, in his words, he wanted his children to remember him for his talent on stage, not for what he’d become.
This man who was so painfully emaciated that the undertakers who collected his body thought him an hospice patient, this man who was nearly blind, who had a catheter for releasing his urine, who was addicted to “Milk” the affectionate name he found for the highly dangerous drug he become dependent on – gave an amazing rehearsal performance full of energy the day before he died.
Years earlier he was on trial
He was accused of child abuse for his unusual friendship with young boys.  At the time he said he liked to sleep in the company of little boys but that nothing improper had taken place – he was acquitted but not before a long and damaging trial which robbed him of the privacy he so much craved for.
Apparently he’d never overcome that desire of sleeping with a child by his side – on his deathbed there was  a doll the size of a child...
He hardly ate. He was very secretive both of his life and that of his children – forcing them to become reclusive like himself, and to wear masks as young children so that no one would know what they looked like.  Obsessive in many things: Excessive use of aftershave and fear of catching infections from contact with people were well known.  He was a perfectionist – he had to be the best.
Throughout his career he treated his fans to a display designed to mesmerized them, a series of flawless performances that could not be matched in real life, and so he locked himself away from public view – afraid of disappointing, of being less than loved…
But he couldn’t hide from himself: his self-reflection distorted by a damaging upbringing, a past he couldn’t forget, starved of love.

His health:
He inherited Vitiligo from his father, a skin condition that causes discoloration. He suffered serious burns to his head from an accident with fireworks while filming a commercial.  He had extensive aesthetic surgery as a result, and a lifelong of painkiller dependency.  After this he had several plastic surgeries, he reconstructed his entire facial structure but seemed particularly obsessed with nasal reshaping.
When he died he was emaciated, almost bald, nearly blind, and had a catheter as it took him hours to urinate.  He had severe toenail fungus that was rotting his flesh, and he also suffered from arthritis – he must’ve been in a considerable amount of pain on a daily basis.
He was a fragile and sensitive individual both emotional and physically not able to bear much pain.

Homeopathic Profile- Thuja, the beauty and the beast:
Thuja remedy would have suited Michael Jackson well both at mental and physical level.
At a physical level it is the main remedy for vitiligo, burns, to clear drug toxicity, arthritis, toe nail fungus, also for urinary disorders with urinary retention that can eventually lead to catheterisation.
Psychologically Thuja is the remedy for people who suffered abuse as children, and feel unloved as a result.  They try to be perfect at all times even resorting to plastic surgery in order to correct minor details of their physical appearance, and controlling all their attitudes whilst on public view . To them being loved by others can only be achieved by complete perfection, for this reason they can be very secretive about their private life as they fear if others see them as they really are they will be rejected.
They try to keep the perfect image by sticking to ridged routines and obsessive compulsive behaviour, but because they cannot keep up their image of perfection all the time they carefully control what they can and cannot reveal about themselves.
They tend to be escapists, resorting either to religious fanaticism or to drugs in order to reach a spiritual world they have difficulty in otherwise attaining as they become thorn in between a deep, dark subconscious where images of death and underworld abound, and the light of the spiritual world that they want to pursue.

Homeopathy and The Occupy at St Paul's

This week the Undercover Homeopath goes out in the field in search a homeopathic connection and ends up volunteering to run a free Homeopathy clinic!

It’s all very well and good to support a cause from the comfort of your home – and don’t take me wrong – a lot of good can come from that...
whether you are donating a Tweet for a good cause, making a financial contribution, blogging or posting on your network:
making others aware of the wrongs that can be put right. Those are all very valid contributions to better the world we live in.

But today, I decided that it was no longer an option for me to just watch the Occupy movement from a distance, so
I went down to St Paul’s in London
to see the camping site and to mingle with the protesters.
This is what I found:  a busy group of people of all ages spending their day discussing urgent community and social issues, getting themselves busy with the daily run of the camp, organising themselves, undertaking  responsibility for the orderly maintenance of their site as well as making a stance for social and economic injustice.
It seems to me that “Occupy, occupy!” is having a huge task as “Organise, organise!”

And contrary to what I have been reading on the Media about lack of organisation and respect towards their community – what I saw was a very well  ran camp. Various committee meetings were taking place throughout the morning, the first one I saw was the one with the Church representative, but there were several happening at the same time.
There are also two general assemblies a day to give people the opportunity to put forward any concerns or issues that need sorting, and where everyone is invited to vote on practical issues to do with the camp itself such as: recycling, re-using of items, alternative energy sources for the running of the camp, etc.
There are volunteer groups running the library, the re-cycling centre, the first aid, the hot drinks, the donations, the wellbeing centre – which includes Meditation and Healing – and it will also be including Homeopathy within the next few days…you guessed: I’ve volunteered a couple of hours a week!
Off course with all the groups, and especially with a group so diverse as this there are also some unpleasant characters that infiltrate in order to causing disruption…but I didn’t see any today.

And I didn’t see people with masks… but I respected their right to privacy by avoiding photographing individuals and focusing more on the protest itself – their posters and banners.  I made an exception for this chap  who wants to raise awareness for the prospect of an attack on Iran, and who stated that he is very happy to be photographed along with his poster!

Oh! By the way… these guys need blankets, thick socks, hot water bottles, mugs, and permanent markers – so if you live in London or are coming over for a holiday – don’t forget to pop by!
The cold and wet British weather is getting to their bones and joints – as I was sitting at their general assembly I could see all sorts of creaking joints, neck and shoulder stiffness from rough sleep in cold and wet concrete.  Remedies anyone? I’ll be stocking up on Rhus-Tox, Ruta, Causticum  and Bryonia for starters…
